Dagnabbit! Usually I post on Mondays, but that did not happen and here's why.. />_<\ ..the hubs got a call yesterday asking if he'd fly in to LA and teach an advanced puppet building workshop from Wednesday to Monday. I mean, YAY!!! right!? 
But this also happens to be the weekend that EVERYONE I KNOW is going out of town.. /0___0\ Thus, every waking moment has been spent away from my sketchbook, tablet, comp, and xacto and my usual Monday post has been postponed until.. let's say.. Thursday or something!

For those who aren't aware yet, my husband and I are expanding our puppet building business! This summer we've had the opportunity to work on some cool projects, the first of which is an advertising campaign for Sophos. This was an insane product turnaround and incredibly rewarding! Now to pick up the puppet guts and get things situated for the next project... :meow: Thanks for sticking with me! muah! :heart:
Life's Update
Graduation Achieved!
It is done! We've finally crossed the finish line for the hubs getting his undergraduate degree! Booyah!
I will still be MIA on deviantart for a while (I feel like I haven't gotten to work with paper in forever) . We have been working with an advertising company in recent weeks who has been interested in contracting us to build puppets for a line of commercials. Proposals, contracts, and deadlines have been exchanged and it's a crazy intense turn around for the amount of work required, but what an awesome portfolio builder for our little business!

Now it's looking like his final semester is going to be packing a whoppin' 18 credits in addition to working the internship that he just started.
What the crap.
Thus, creative endeavors on my end will be put on hold while I try to help him finish his classes. I'll probably take on one or two myself to help lighten the load. Guh.

My mom is so stupid cute. :heart: She opened up a little etsy shop and is selling some of my grandmother's vintage jewelry. Now, when I say "vintage" I don't mean "vintage-inspired". I mean straight from the time period it came from. 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.
