Paper Freud

I absolutely had The Avalanches' song "Frontier Psychiatrist" running through my head the entire time I worked on this. It's a dope song. Totes.

A collaborative effort between my husband and I, we made this paper caricature of Sigmund Freud as a Christmas gift for my brother (hubs did the sketch, I did the rest). This was one of those soul crushing I-absolute-hate-everything-about-this projects. You know the type... the paper choice is wrong... annoying tangent lines... can't get the right gouache mix... too much paint on the paper... the frame is too wide... I drank too much water and now I have to use the bathroom every five minutes. But, despite the frustrating process, it came together in the end. Well, I'd like to think that anyway.
